The Rohit Sharma-led India have registered a thumping win in the final Test by an innings and 64 runs. They have made it 4-1 with this win at Dharamsala and have been way above England in all spheres of the game. Kuldeep Yadav was the one who got the final wicket of Joe Root and ended with seven wickets in the match along with healthy contribution with the bat as well.

India took the lead of 259 runs at the end of their first innings and England who are known to be aggressive and more confident in the second innings, just could not get going and ended up losing wickets at regular intervals as Ravi Ashwin ran through the middle order. Joe Root was the only one who showed some grit and was the last one to depart on 84 off 128 balls.

The final wicket came off the first delivery of the 49th over when Kuldeep Yadav tossed up a delivery on the off stump line. Joe Root skipped down the track and tried to punch it down the ground for a maximum. However, he did not time it perfectly and ended up hitting it straight to Jasprit Bumrah at long who made no mistake.

India lost the first Test match of the series at Hyderabad but the way the youngsters have stepped up after that loss has been quite heartening from India's point of view and they would be looking to build on this Test win when they travel overseas later in 2024.
