Meg Lanning is known for her consistency and she is displaying all of that in WPL 2024 as she notched up her third consecutive fifty. However, Deepti Sharma who scored a valuable fifty for her side delivered with the ball too, and got rid of dangerous Meg Lanning for 60 to stage UP Warriorz comeback.

Deepti got the wicket of Lanning when DC were cruising towards 139-run target, they were 93-2 and looked all set for another win. However, Deepti Sharma showed her class yet again and tossed up  a delivery on the off-stump line. Meg Lanning tried to sweep it but missed it and got hit on her pad. A big appeal followed and the umpire raised the finger as it looked dead plumb.

Meg Lanning though tried her luck and took the DRS but the Ball Tracking showed three reds and Lanning was sent back to the hut. Earlier in the game, UP Warriorz batted first and scored 138 as their batters failed to get going and it was only because of a brilliant effort from Deepti Sharma who walked out to bat at 3, that they got to a competitive total.
