Sharing the new ball with Jasprit Bumrah, India's enigma machine Ravichandran Ashwin made an instant impact by accounting for each of England's top three batters inside his opening spell.

The legendary off-spinner, who had claimed figures of 4-51 on Day 1, added five more to his tally in his landmark Test by the time the visitors slipped to 113-6.

Ashwin's match-defining spell also helped him soar past Anil Kumble to attain a huge Indian record, achieving a significant feat in his 100th match.

Kuldeep Yadav, meanwhile, crashed Jonny Bairstow's party with a jaffa to claim his first wicket of the innings and his sixth of the match. Jasprit Bumrah trapped Tom Hartley and Mark Wood in front of stumps in a space of three balls as England stared down at a huge innings defeat at 141-8.

Ravindra Jadeja and Yadav claimed the final two wickets and the visitors folded up for just 195, handing India emphatic innings win at Dharamshala and a 4-1 series triumph.
