Due to Rohit Sharma’s stiff back concerns, Jasprit Bumrah had a captaincy hat on his head on Saturday during Day 3 of India’s fifth and final Test against England, taking place in Dharamsala.

The ace speedster impressed everybody with his leadership skills, and at the same time, he gave his side crucial breakthroughs with razor-sharp accuracy.

Among them, the highlight of his wicket was how he trapped Mark Wood plumb in front of the stumps with a vicious toe-crushing yorker.

Coming to bowl the 35th over of England’s innings, Bumrah first dismissed Tom Hartley with a classical reverse-swing delivery. Then, two balls later, he pulled out his favorite weapon: a yorker.

Coming at No. 9, Mark Wood had no clue whatsoever how to defend it, as the ball landed just short of his boot before hitting it. Immediately after the appeal, the umpire raised his finger to reward the paceman. Yet, Wood decided to take a DRS, only to see three reds in reply on the big screen.

Meanwhile, England have slipped to 161/8 in 38.1 overs, with Joe Root standing tall on 55*. Shoaib Bashir, who took a five-wicket haul earlier in the first innings, is batting from another end.
