Deepti Sharma is one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket and she displayed that once again, this time in WPL 2024 thriller where she picked four wickets and scored a fifty which also included a superb hat-trick to stage an incredible heist for UP Warriorz against Delhi Capitals.

The hat-trick included wickets of Meg Lanning, Annabel Sutherland and Arundhati Reddy which were all crucial blows as UP Warriorz ended up defending a low target of 139.

The wicket of Lanning came on the last delivery of the 14th over when DC were cruising, and Lanning was well set on 60. That wicket opened the floodgates, and then Deepti Sharma came back again in the penultimate over of the game with three wickets that completely changed the game.

The two wickets came on the initial two deliveries of the over, which made him the second bowler and the first Indian bowler in the history of the WPL to take a hat-trick. The third ball in that over went for a boundary, but Deepti came back strong again on the fourth delivery, removing Shikha Pandey, and ended up making the equation tricky for DC in the last over as they needed 10 runs with three wickets in hand.

The last over from Harris also saw three wickets of consecutive deliveries, which included one run out, as UP Warriorz registered an unbelievable 1-run win.
