[Watch] Akeal Hosein Takes Hat-Trick Against Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi In PSL 2024

Akeal Hosein has been growing in stature in last few years with his brilliant accuracy and ability to deliver both with the new ball and at the backend. However, he has now taken his game a notch higher with a stunning hat-trick in PSL 2024 against Peshawar Zalmi to etch his name in the history books.

Akeal Hosein got his hat-trick in the 16th over off the second, third and fourth delivery of the over. The first one to go was Aamer Jamal. It was a short and wide delivery, outside off. Jamal tried to cut it, but got an outside edge which the the keeper collected on the second go. The second wicket was of  Mehran Mumtaz who also could not handle a short and wide delivery, outside off. He got an outside edge and the ball knocked over the stumps to put Peshawar Zalmi under pump. 

The third one and the most beautiful delivery of the over was against Luke Wood. It was pitched  on off and was slower in the air. Luke Wood tried to defend it with soft hands but the ball caught the outside edge of his blade and Rilee Rossouw took a sharp catch at slip to hand Akeal Hosein a memorable hat-trick.

Peshawar Zalmi still managed a big score in excess of 190 with Rovman Powell and Naveen-ul-Haq doing finishing job after fireworks from Babar Azam and Saim Ayub.
