It is not uncommon for cricketers to make comical errors, but what happened on Saturday during India's fifth and final Test match against England was out of this world.

The incident happened during the 46th over of England’s innings when Ravindra Jadeja bowled an absolute beauty of a delivery to rattle Shoaib Bashir. The young leg-spinner, who received a lot of criticism due to his angry send-offs earlier in the match, then made an unthinkable mistake, as he had no idea that he was clean bowled.

Assuming it was a caught-behind dismissal after watching Dhruv Jurel take the catch, he signalled T for DRS. Joe Root, who was batting from another end, then told him what actually happened with a smile while putting his hand on his head.

Meanwhile, India completed a commanding 4-1 series victory after winning it Dharamsala comfortably by an innings and 64 runs. The visitors were bundled out for 218 and 195 after India posted a massive total of 477 in their only innings. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma were the stars of the show with fascinating centuries, whereas Kuldeep Yadav and R Ashwin were the pick of the bowlers.
