Sarfaraz Khan took a brutal dig at Jonny Bairstow on Saturday (March 9) during India’s fifth and final Test against England in Dharamsala. More importantly, how he told it, of course in his native language, will be remembered for ages.

The incident happened before the start of the 17th over of England’s innings when Kuldeep Yadav, who tore apart England’s batting unit earlier in this Test, was about to start his spell. Bairstow, playing his 100th Test match, seemed to be batting decently after a lackluster overall performance in the series.

Then things became heated. Bairstow initiated a conversation with Shubman Gill regarding a chat in which the stylish Indian opener and the veteran pacer Jimmy Anderson were involved earlier in the game.

"What did you say to Jimmy about getting tired and he got you out after that?" Bairstow asked Gill. The Gujarat Titans’ newly-appointed skipper replied in a classy way as well, saying "So what, it was after 100, how many have you got here?"

Then, to make things calm, Dhruv Jurel said, ‘Easy Jonny Bhai.’ Immediately after, Sarfaraz’s reply came to bring laughter to many. ‘Thoda sa runs kya Banadiya jyada uchal Raha hai,’ Sarfaraz quipped, meaning he got a few runs, and now started jumping like no one else.

Meanwhile, Bairstow fell in the same over, as Kuldeep Yadav trapped him leg-before. England, as of writing, are 133/6, still trailing by 126 runs. Hence, they are on the verge of suffering yet another innings defeat.
