Babar Azam, who was not in his best of touches in international cricket, has been in ominous form in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. The former Pakistan skipper kept on doing good work on Friday during Peshawar Zalmi’s ongoing clash against Quetta Gladiators, taking place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Having been put to bat, Babar stayed strong from one end, en route to his fourth half-century in the competition.

Coming to bowl the 12th over of Peshawar’s innings, Abrar Ahmed bowled a flat delivery to Babar. Peshawar skipper, while going on the back-foot, played a gentle push between mid-wicket and long-on, and the timing of the shot was so exquisite, that it raced away for boundary.

Before this fixture, Babar tallied 394 runs across seven innings at an average of 65.67. His strike rate of 152.12 also suggests how good he has been in the tournament thus far.

Meanwhile, Akeal Hosein, who took a hat-trick later, trapped Babar leg-before for a 30-ball 53. As of writing, Peshawar are batting on 157/8 in 15.4 overs.
