Two nations come to everyone's mind whenever a fielding blip happens on the field. One is Pakistan, due to its infamous doings, particularly at marquee events, and the other is Bangladesh, courtesy of a very similar reason, although it doesn’t do as frequently as the former.

Comedy Of Errors In Bangladesh!

The incident happened during the 69th over of South Africa’s innings when Hasan Mahmud came to bowl to Dane Piedt, who was batting on 5*. It was a full toss delivery outside the off stump, which Piedt played straight towards Mahmud.

The Bangladesh fast bowler tried to pick it up but failed. Piedt had no clue what he was doing and came down the track to take a single. Kyle Verreynne, at the non-striker’s end, did not move an inch, as it was never a run.

Mahmud took his time before throwing at the striker’s end. However, the throw was so bizarre that the ball hit Piedt’s left thigh while all three wickets were visible. Litton Das as well as Mushfiqur Rahim, were upset to see that, as Mahmud missed a clear run-out opportunity.

At the time of writing this, Bangladesh are 82/3 after 23 overs, with Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle, on 33* and 17*, respectively. They still trail by 120 runs in the second innings, having been folded for 106 in the first innings. South Africa, in reply, posted 308 in the first innings, with Kyle Verreynne making headlines with a fantastic 144-ball 114.

It is important to note that this will be a two-match Test series. The first Test is taking place in Mirpur, while the second one, scheduled to begin on October 29, will be held in Chattogram.
