Babar Azam has shown a great run of form in the ongoing 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League. He played another gem of a knock in the clash against Multan Sultans on Tuesday.

The former Pakistan captain blazed his way to 64 off just 40 deliveries before getting castled by Usama Mir. On the second ball of the 14th over, the leg spinner bowled a full delivery around the off stump to Babar. The latter looked to play that across the line for a sweep but ended up getting his off-stump uprooted.

The 29-year-old never looked out of control during his 64-run knock. Once again, Babar Azam gave his team a brilliant start by stitching an 84-run partnership for the opening wicket with Saim Ayub in just 42 balls.

The latter got out on the last ball of the seventh over but Babar Azam kept scoring runs at a quick pace. He reached his half-century by smashing a six over third man off Mohammad Ali on his 35th delivery and followed that with another six in the same over.

A couple of games earlier, Babar Azam smashed his fastest T20 hundred in the clash against Islamabad United. He reached his half-century off 39 balls and converted that into a century off the next 20 balls.

Babar is currently the highest run-scorer in the ongoing season of PSL. He amassed 330 runs in six matches at an average of 66.00 and a strike rate of 150.68.
