Recent reports suggest that Gujarat Titans may be without the services of young talent Robin Minz for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 season. It's been suggested that Minz has been involved in a road accident and is currently under observation.

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, and as of now, there hasn't been official confirmation from the team or the player regarding the extent of Minz's involvement or his availability for the tournament.


How did the accident happen?

Rising star Robin Minz was involved in a collision while riding his Kawasaki superbike, reportedly colliding with another bike. The incident resulted in severe damage to the bike, while the player sustained an injury to his knee. 

Speaking to the media, Robin's father, Francis Minz, provided reassurance, stating that while Robin is currently under observation, the injury does not appear to be serious at this time.

“He lost control when his bike came in contact with another bike. Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation," Robin Minz's father said.

What record did Robin Minz break during the IPL 2024 auction?

The Gujarat Titans successfully acquired Robin Minz's services during the auction, making him a part of their team after bidding a substantial INR 3.6 crore.

Minz has been making significant strides in the U-23 cricket circuit with his impressive performances. 

Originating from the picturesque Shimal village in Jharkhand's Gumla district, Robin recently garnered attention for his exceptional batting prowess. 

His standout moment came during a match in the U23 Col. CK Nayudu Trophy, where he showcased his talent by scoring a remarkable 137 runs against Karnataka.


When is IPL 2024 going to start?

The inaugural match of the 2024 season is slated to kick off between Royal Challengers Bangalore and defending champions Chennai Super Kings on March 22nd at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
