Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan seems to have made life-long enemies in the form of RCB fans. As he turned up for India A at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for the opening match of the Duleep Trophy 2024, a section of the crowd jeered the speedster with RCB chants as revenge for his celebratory act from last year’s IPL event.

Back in 2023, during RCB’s home match against the visiting LSG group in Bengaluru, Avesh Khan celebrated by throwing off his helmet at the crease mere moments after his team scored the winning run in a last-ball high-scoring thriller.

During match number 15 of the IPL 2023 season between LSG and hosts RCB in Bengaluru, the former hunted down their 213-run target off the final ball to seal a one-wicket win. Batting at the non-striker’s end, LSG tail-ender Avesh Khan ran a bye to complete the run, and he aggressively celebrated the occasion by throwing off his helmet.

A year later during the Duleep Trophy 2024 season, Avesh returned to the venue as an India-A fast bowler. In the tournament's opening match, the cricketer was greeted with a barrage of 'RCB RCB' chants by the loyal followers of the franchise when he was fielding near the boundary ropes.

Regardless, Avesh Khan picked up figures of 2-59 during the India B innings on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy 2024 match. The speedster also dismissed Sarfaraz Khan in the second half to help his side claim six wickets by stumps on Day 3.

India B batted first and charted 321 runs before gaining a 90-run advantage over India A. They batted again and stretched the lead to 240 runs by reaching 150-6 in 31.3 overs, thanks to Rishabh Pant's clinical half-century
