Match 10 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 will see Lahore Qalandars (LQ) lock horns against rivals Karachi Kings (KK) tomorrow (Feb 24). The highly-anticipated encounter will be played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
While Karachi have notched up its first win in PSL 2024, Lahore are yet to open their account, having lost all three matches thus far.
Team Previews
Lahore Qalandars
For defending champions, the ninth edition of PSL has been quite tormenting so far, with the franchise remaining winless. Questions over Shaheen Shah Afridi's captaincy have arisen, with his inability to rotate bowlers being quite visible in the field.
The bowling, too, has been a letdown. From Haris Rauf to Zaman Khan, their premier pace duo has struggled with line and length. Rassie van der Dussen has singlehandedly kept the batting afloat, with contributions from others being the bare minimum.
Karachi Kings
Unlike Qalandars, Karachi Kings have been able to win a match in PSL 9. Kings' bowling remains the main bone of contention for them, with no one apart from Mir Hamza looking threatening.
The batting does have stalwarts like Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard, who are crucial to the side's success, with others mostly playing second-fiddle roles. Skipper Shan Masood needs to step up to the plate and bring his A-game forward as both batter and leader.
