The ongoing fourth Test between India and England at Ranchi became an emotional moment for Akash Deep, as the pacer made his red-ball debut for the country.

Deep, 27, became the 313th Test player for India, who received his maiden cap from the head coach and legend Rahul Dravid, however, what made the occasion even more special was the presence of the pacer's family, including his mother, with whom the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) shared a heartfelt moment as well.

After receiving the cap, Deep rush towards his family, and toucher his mother's feet for blessing (an Indian custom) before proceeding for a warm hug as other other family members were seen getting emotional as well.

Similar scenes were witnessed during the third Test at Rajkot, where Sarfaraz Khan embraced his father after earning his maiden red-ball cap from former India captain and coach Anil Kumble.

Interestingly, Deep became the fourth debutant for India in his series, after Rajat Patidar (Vizag), Khan, and Dhruv Jurel (Rajkot).

The Bengal pacer, who came into the squad for Jasprit Bumrah, had already wreaked havoc on England batters, claiming as many as three wickets in the first session, getting rid of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, and Ollie Pope

Deep in 30 First-Class (FC) matches has picked up 103 wickets and starred for India A in their unofficial three-match Test series against England Lion, where the pacer claimed 12 wickets.
