It doesn't matter if it's men's or women's cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) always take center stage thanks to their star acquisitions.

The Red and Gold Brigade will be aiming to win the elusive trophy once more as the second Women's Premier League (WPL) gets underway on Saturday, February 23.

Having won only twice in eight attempts, including a five-match losing streak to kick things off, RCB finished fourth on the points table in the WPL 2023, only above Gujarat Giants. Despite having prominent names such as Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, and Megan Schutt, among others, they could not even qualify for the playoffs.

RCB, however, have done their homework in the recent bidding war. They, in fact, look like a pretty decent balanced squad on paper, and needless to say, are a serious title contender. To make that happen in reality, how will they form? Let’s have a look at it.

Mandhana, the skipper, will definitely be at the top, with veteran New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine to partner her. Perry will come at No. 3, whereas Heather Knight's absence could tempt RCB to promote Richa Ghosh at No. 4.

Nadine de Klerk, Kanika Ahuja, and the talented Shreyanka Patil will follow them, while Australian all-rounder Georgia Wareham could get a nod ahead of Kate Cross and Sophie Molineux in the lineup. Renuka Singh Thakur and Ekta Bisht are anticipated to occupy the final two spots.
