Bumrah’s 400th wicket: Hasan Mahmud bamboozled!
Hasan Mahmud, who bagged a fifer in the first innings for Bangladesh, became Bumrah’s 400th victim. Bumrah bowled a length ball on the stumps and it threatened to nip back in but seamed away at the last moment to get the outside edge. The ball was safely pouched at second slip by Virat Kohli.
Bangladesh rocked by Bumrah and other bowlers
Bumrah started the day for India with the wicket of Shadman Islam. What followed was total carnage from him and Akash Deep, as the Bengal pacer ripped through the other batters, and created havoc in the minds of the Bangladesh batters.
Apart from Shadman and Mahmud, Bumrah also picked up the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim, as the Bangladesh team have been jolted in the first innings. They still trail by 263 runs and need 63 runs to avoid the follow-on.
