India's formidable bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, added another wicket to his impressive record, this time with a crucial assist from his teammate KL Rahul. Together, they removed Mushfiqur Rahim on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test between India and Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

This was a crucial wicket from India's perspective as Rahim, who is known for his ability to bat through the innings, departed for a cheap score of just eight runs. With this wicket, half of the Bangladesh side was back in the hut.

In the 13th over, Bumrah bowled a back-of-a-length delivery on the sixth stump line; Rahim tried to defend it off the backfoot but got an outside edge, and the ball flew to the slip cordon. KL Rahul, stationed at the second slip, wasted no time, taking an excellent sharp catch to his right. The ball quickly came to him, and Rahul showed exceptional reflexes to grab onto it.

The recent addition of Morne Morkel as India's new bowling coach has already made a significant impact. His influence is evident in the performance of all the India pacers, who are delivering exceptional bowling today.

What is going on in IND vs BAN Test Day 2?

In the ongoing Test between India and Bangladesh, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first, a decision that initially paid off as Hasan Mahmud claimed three quick wickets, leaving India in trouble.

However, R. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja mounted a remarkable recovery, forming a 199-run partnership for the seventh wicket that revitalized India's innings. Ashwin reached his sixth Test century during this stand, showcasing his skill under pressure. Despite the recovery, Mahmud returned to take two more wickets, completing a five-wicket haul that restricted India to 376 runs.

In response, Bangladesh faced immediate challenges, losing three early wickets to Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah, who both claimed two scalps each. At the time of writing, Bangladesh found themselves in a precarious position at 76/5.
