India's dynamic keeper-batter Ishan Kishan oozed his class in the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India A and India C at Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur. The explosive southpaw struck several glorious boundaries, auditioning for a place in India's T20I squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh.

Chasing a challenging target of 350 runs, India C were in a commanding position at one stage, courtesy of a steady partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and B Sai Sudharsan. However, the skipper's dismissal triggered a mini collapse for the C side, with India A bouncing back with Rajat Patidar's prized breakthrough.

However, these dismissals had little impact on Ishan Kishan, who made his intentions clear soon after joining Sudharsan in the middle. The swashbuckling southpaw had a dream start to his innings, opening his account with a glorious boundary off the in-form Shams Mulani.

As Mulani tossed the ball up, Ishan charged down the track to dispatch it past the long-on fence for four runs. Aaqib Khan, who registered a clinical three-wicket haul in the first innings, also faced Ishan's wrath, as he punished him with a picturesque cover drive in the 50th over.

In the same over, Aaqib once again faced the consequence of erring in length as Ishan creamed a square drive past the point fielder for another boundary. His scintillating stroke play signified his sublime form, batting for his inclusion in India's squad for the Bangladesh T20Is.

However, despite getting the start, Ishan couldn't convert it into a match-winning knock. India A's wily spinner Tanush Kotian emerged as his nemesis, dismissing him for 17 runs. The off-spinner also got the better of Abhishek Porel, who departed without troubling the scorers. At the time of writing, India C were in a spot of bother, placed at 180 for five, with Sudharsan batting alongside Pulkit Narang.
