In a significant development, India have announced an unchanged squad for their deciding Test match against Bangladesh on home soil. Led by Rohit Sharma, India were clinical in the first Test, thrashing the visitors by 280 runs at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Considering their dominant performance, the hosts have named an unchanged team for the second Test, sticking to their winning combination.

Skipper Rohit will open the batting alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, while youngster Shubman Gill, who recently struck a valiant ton, will be slotted at number three. The eyes will be on Virat Kohli, who would be desperate to bounce back following his twin batting failures in the opening Test.

KL Rahul will play a pivotal role for India in the middle order, while the onus will also be on Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin to shoulder the lower middle order. However, it will be interesting to see if India stick to their three-pacer strategy or bring Axar Patel into the playing XI to capitalise on Kanpur's spin-friendly deck.

Will India Rest Jasprit Bumrah For The 2nd Test?

As India are one-nil up in the series, you might expect them to rest their ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah in the decider. However, given that they still haven't secured a spot in the WTC final, the hosts can utilise Bumrah as a lethal bowling weapon in this match. Also, if they had planned to rest Bumrah, they wouldn't have kept him in the squad in the first place. So, as Bumrah has been included, he will feature in the second Test match against Bangladesh.
