Desert Vipers are finally back to winning ways after two thumping wins in the past week. After Shaheen Afridi pulled off a nail-biting thriller, his Pakistani counterpart Azam Khan slammed a sensational 50 runs off 20 balls to secure a convincing victory over Gulf Giants.

Chasing 160, the Vipers initially struggled with the required run rate. However, once Azam Khan got going, there was no stopping. 

With that, the Vipers fetched two valuable points to ditch the bottom place on the points table. After the win over the Giants, the Vipers ranked third on the points tally, well within playoff contention.

However, the job is not done. With the winning momentum, Desert Vipers must utilise the presence of Afridi and Azam before they leave for PSL to secure as many wins as possible to stay in the hunt.
