New Zealand fast bowler, Trent Boult is not only one of the best fast bowlers in the world but an outstanding fielder as well. He showcased his exceptional fielding skills in the ongoing ILT20, 2024 clash between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and MI Emirates.

On the 4th ball of the 18th over, Laurie Evans mistimed a fuller delivery from Fazalhaq Farooqi and the ball looped up in the air. Trent Boult, who was stationed at covers, covered the distance wonderfully and took a one-handed blinder to dismiss Evans.

Trent Boult is plying his trade for MI Emirates in the ongoing edition of the ILT20 tournament. He didn’t have a great day with the ball against the Knight Riders. In his four-over spell, Boult picked one wicket while giving away 37 runs in his four-over spell.

However, his overall performance deserves a look. Boult is leading the wickets tally with 9 wickets in just four games at an average of 9.67. His exceptional performance has helped his team stay at the number one position on the table.

MI Emirates have secured three wins out of four matches played thus far in the ongoing season.

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders notched a formidable 188 against MI Emirates

In the ongoing 12th match of the ILT20, 2024 encounter, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders managed to post a formidable score of 188 runs in the first innings on Sunday. Joe Clarke and Michael Pepper got off to a pretty good start, going at more than 8 an over in the first few overs.

However, Farooqi sent Joe Clarke (21 off 13) on the final ball of the fourth over to break the momentum. Pepper (38 off 28), though, kept taking on the opposition but he too departed against the run of play.

But despite the wickets, the runs kept coming at a decent pace. Alishan Sharafu, once again, showcased his mettle by playing a solid knock of 37 off 25 deliveries. He departed in the 14th over and what followed was fireworks from Andre Russell.

The West Indies all-rounder smacked 6 sixes during his unbeaten 46-run knock in 17 deliveries. He was supported by Sam Hain, who contributed 40 off 31.

MI Emirates need 189 runs to win the game and, thereby, register their fourth win in the tournament. At the time of writing, the Emirates are 14 /0 after 1 over.
