A young batter from Mumbai, Yashasvi Jaiswal, took the Indian cricket fraternity by storm with a magnificent hundred against England on Day 1 of the ongoing Vizag Test. Needless to say, the fans were moved, and a few tried to sum up the batter’s innings in one word.

When 22-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal was promoted over Shubman Gill to the opening slot, many questioned his pedigree and merit. However, the young batter decided to let his bat do the talking on his behalf.

After displaying flashes of brilliance on the South Africa tour, it was time for Jaiswal to unleash dominance on home conditions. The batter scored a resilient 80-run innings in the first innings of the Hyderabad Test to kick off the red ball series on a positive note.

That being said, Yashasvi Jaiswal raised the bar during his recent outing against England in Vizag. As India elected to bat first, they faced an early blow as Rohit Sharma returned to the hut in the first hour of play.

While wickets kept tumbling from one end, Jaiswal held his nerves and kept faith in his natural game. The opener attacked from the front to keep the scoreboard ticking. He not only got to his second Test hundred in just 10 innings, but Jaiswal had 179* runs to his name at the stumps. He will step out tomorrow to race towards his maiden double hundred.

Meanwhile, the fans in Vizag enjoyed Yashasvi Jaiswal’s fiery innings. The Bharat Army talked to a few fans and asked them to sum up the batter’s innings in one word. 

While a few called it magnificent and entertaining, a fan referred to the opener’s intent as ‘Jaisball.’ He says it’s a perfect counter-intent to tackle Bazball.

Overall, the spectators were thoroughly entertained and are looking forward to Yashasvi’s double hundred on day 2.
