KL Rahul hit a century in the third inning of the first Test between India and England played at Headingley. Under tough conditions and pressure, Rahul played classic textbook shots to reach triple-digit figures and left fans amazed and pleased at the same time.

In India’s first inning in Headingley, 3 batters scored a hundred, but Rahul missed out after throwing his wicket away on 42. However, in the third inning, the opener walked out to accomplish the unfinished business.

On Day 4, conditions were tricky to bat in the first session. Shubman Gill perished on 8 off 16 balls, but KL Rahul held the anchor at the other end. He knitted a 150+ run partnership with Rishabh Pant.

With 14 fours, Rahul reached his hundred in 202 balls. He nudged a delivery to the sweeper cover to race for a double and raised his bat to celebrate the milestone.

This is Rahul’s 9th hundred in Test cricket, and his classy shots left the fans highly impressed. KL’s composure, patience, and mindful shot selection made his century even more appealing to watch and appreciate.
