Highlights of IPL 2024 auction
Australian duo of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins got sold to KKR and SRH for INR 24.75 crore and 20.50 crore respectively, becoming the top two buys in the IPL auction history.
Harshal Patel was the costliest Indian player in the IPL 2024 auction. PBKS roped him in for INR 11.75 crore.
Sameer Rizvi emerged as the most-sought after uncapped player in this auction. CSK signed him for INR 8.4 crore.
Wanindu Hasaranga (1.5 crore by SRH), Rachin Ravindra (1.8 crore by CSK), Gerald Coetzee (5 crore by MI) and Shardul Thakur (4 crore by CSK) proved to economical buys.
Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Adil Rashid, Michael Bracewell, Philip Salt and Josh Inglis went unsold.
