The big man from Jamaica, Andre Russell is player of the match for this game, for first scoring 64 off 25 balls and then, picking up two wickets for 25 runs in two overs. His flamboyant innings rocked SRH to the core and was a crucial factor in KKR's victory. With as many as seven sixes, the big-hitter fully deserves to player of the match.

Phil Salt gave them a solid start with a fighting half-century and Ramandeep Singh's powerful show were the two positives in the middle in the otherwise gloomy looking scorecard before Andre Russell took the responsibility upon himself to push KKR past 200 on a good batting wicket where he scored 62 from just 25 balls with as many as seven sixes. Natarajan was pick of the bowlers with three wickets in four overs. However, 85 runs in the last five overs were too good for the home side as they finished on 208.

SRH started off on a positive note with Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma getting the ball to middle. The runs were coming at a good rate and they were definitely cruising when the first wicket of Mayank fell. Sharma's wicket later opened doors for KKR to make a comeback. Sunil Narine troubled the batters with his class and SRH were down and out at one stage until Heinrich Klaasen arrived at the crease. Playing 29 deliveries, he banged 63 to take SRH closer with Shahbaz Ahmed doing the damage from the other end with a cameo of 16 from 5 balls. However, despite playing his one of the best innings, SRH couldn't finish the game as Harshit Rana did his job brilliantly to save 13 off the last over. That too, after Mitchell Starc went for 26 in the second last over.
