If there is one man who deserves to be top run-scorer in this tournament, it is the great Babar Azam. Another outstanding tournament with bat and he gets the Hanif Muhammad Cap for putting on a show with 569 runs in 11 games at an average of 56.90 while striking at 142.61.

Multan had a horrible start as Imad Wasim bagged two wickets in the second over of the game. Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan tried their best to rescue the side but the former perished soon whereas the latter found another fifty with the bat. However, Islamabad soon struck with back-to-back wickets as Imad Wasim picked a fifer while skipper Shadab Khan did his part with three wickets. Later, Multan were reduced to nine wickets with not much on the board but Iftikhar Ahmed's final burst of 32 runs not out of 20 deliveries pushed Multan to 159 in the finale.

Islamabad had a wonderful start in comparison to Multan as Colin Munro found three consecutive boundaries in the first over. He fell but his partner Martin Guptill took all the bowlers to cleaners with a blazing fifty. Later, Azam Khan joined in too and Islamabad kept the scoreboard ticking. However, Guptill got run-out and Azam lost his wicket which changed the complexion of the game. Wickets kept tumbling with Khushdil Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed picking two wickets each. In the end, the match reached to situation where eight were required off the last over and then, the situation boiled down to one off the last delivery with Hunain Shah finding a boundary to help lift Islamabad their Third PSL Title by two wickets!
