Ishant Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are two of the finest modern day Indian cricketers and the battle between the two in any form of cricket has always been fascinating. The two came head-to-head again in the second game of IPL 2024 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals.

On the second delivery bowled by Ishant Sharma, Dhawan smashed him for a boundary but the tall bowler got his revenge in the fourth over when Dhawan's reckless shot led to his downfall.

Ishant Sharma bowled it on a length, angling into Dhawan and the left-handed batter in a hope to blast Ishant away, danced down the track. He did not reach the pitch of the ball but went through his wild slog, only to miss the ball completely and see his stumps dismantled.

After the wicket of Dhawan, Bairstow too was run-out in an unfortunate manner and PBKS would be hoping that their middle order fires and take them home. DC earlier scored 174 in their 20 overs after a great flourish from young Abishek Porel who smashed 32 off just 10 balls taking Harshal Patel to cleaners in the last over.
