Days after leaving the fans guessing with a confusing Facebook post, CSK captain MS Dhoni cleared the air by featuring in a dual role in a JioCinema produced advertisement promoting the impending IPL 2024 season.

MS Dhoni, the highly successful captain of the Indian senior cricket team and one of the most beloved superstars in the country, is a very private person. Since retiring from international cricket in 2020, he mostly spends his time with family and friends. 

His business ventures and brand partnerships also keep Dhoni busy on most days. And yearly, MS pleases the cricket fans with an IPL stint. 

Meanwhile, ahead of the 2024 IPL season, MS Dhoni took to his social media and made a rare post. He wrote, “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role.’ Stay tuned!” Naturally, the fans were left puzzled with the bare minimum details, and the internet was filled with all kinds of speculations related to Dhoni’s future in the IPL.

That being said, days after the mysterious social media activity, MS Dhoni cleared the air and put an end to the ‘new role’ suspense.

The CSK captain shared an advertisement video in collaboration with JioCinema (the official broadcasting partner of IPL). In the promotional video, Dhoni is seen playing a dual role in order to advertise the impending league.

Besides the promotional activities, MS Dhoni has cleared speculations over his future uncertainty. Amid talks of retirement, the former Indian captain arrived in Chennai to join the pre-IPL camp along with other stars of the franchise. 

Dhoni is determined to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the upcoming IPL season despite visible concerns about his knee injury. It would be interesting to see how he maintains the area of concern to ensure an undisturbed tournament.
