Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Welcome Baby Boy Into The World; Name Revealed!

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed a baby boy named Akaay on February 20, Tuesday.

Having had Vamika as their first child, Kohli and Anushka now have a second child.

"With abundant happiness and our hearts all of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world," Anushka and Virat wrote on social media. "We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time."

Kohli, who was initially selected for India’s five-match Test series against England, has not been with the squad and missed all three matches due to personal reasons. With everyone's blessing, the talismanic batsman and his wife have welcomed another family member.


Year 2017 saw the wedding of Kohli and Anushka Sharma. January 11 is the birthday of their first daughter Vamika, while Akaay was born on February 15.

In 2021, Kohli prioritized family as well, returning home after the first of a four-test series against Australia to be with his wife during the birth of their first child.

AB de Villiers, Kohli's long-standing partner-in-crime at RCB, first disclosed on his YouTube channel that the couple was expecting their second child. However, a few days later, the former captain of South Africa would make a U-turn and claim he had no idea why Kohli had taken a break.
