Hardik Pandya “fine-tuned” himself with an intense training session as he bids to attain full recovery in time for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Back in October 2023, the star all-rounder sprained his ankle during India’s World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh.

The injury prompted Pandya to miss the rest of the tournament and also ruled him out of India’s subsequent home series against Afghanistan and Australia as well as the entire all-format tour to South Africa.

Hardik Pandya shares another intense drill

On February 20, Hardik Pandya took to his social media accounts to share an excerpt from yet another one of his recent training sessions. Not long ago, the cricketer was also spotted trying out his arm for a bowling session, thus signaling positive signs for his fans as well as for the Mumbai Indians franchise.

In the short footage recently released by him, the 30-year-old all-rounder can be seen performing some intense fielding drills on the field. In the caption, he wrote:

Hardik Pandya is expected to attain full recovery by the time of the launch of the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The tournament itself serves as a prelude to this year’s 2024 T20 World Cup, set to be hosted by the West Indies and the United States shortly after the IPL. The IPL 2024 season, meanwhile, is slated to commence sometime in late March.

Back in November 2023, Pandya was traded in by the Mumbai Indians franchise from Gujarat Titans. The star all-rounder was also appointed as their new captain, replacing decade-long skipper and five-time IPL winner Rohit Sharma in the process.
