Rumours have been spreading on social media that Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have fixed a new wedding date, December 7. Many posts even claimed that their pre-wedding celebrations had already begun in Sangli. But how true is this?

Originally, Smriti and Palash were supposed to get married on November 23 in Sangli. However, the wedding was suddenly postponed after Smriti’s father reportedly faced a health emergency and had to be taken to the hospital. Soon after that, reports also suggested that Palash was admitted to the hospital as well, possibly due to stress.

After the wedding was postponed, fans noticed something unusual: Smriti deleted all her wedding-related posts from Instagram, including her engagement video and pre-wedding photos. This instantly fueled more speculation online. Palash, however, kept his posts visible.

Are Smriti and Palash getting married again?

Adding to the confusion, a new wave of stories claimed that the couple quietly rescheduled the wedding for December 7. But journalists and family members have now stepped forward to deny these claims.

A Times of India reporter publicly stated that the news of a December 7 wedding is completely fake and urged people not to fall for misinformation.

Similarly, Smriti Mandhana’s brother, Shravan Mandhana, told Hindustan Times that the reports of a new date are false and that there is no truth to these rumors.

Earlier, both families had issued a short statement explaining that the wedding was postponed for health reasons but did not share further details. This lack of clarity led many people on social media to assume that something else might be going on.

Things intensified when an Instagram user named Mary D’Costa shared alleged chat screenshots claiming Palash had been messaging her earlier in the year while avoiding questions about his relationship status. These posts went viral and added more drama to the situation.

Meanwhile, Palash Muchhal was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport with his family. Although he kept a low profile, he did not hide from the media. His appearance came at a time when online speculation about the couple was at its peak.

As of now, there is no confirmed new wedding date, and the December 7 rumour has been clearly denied.
