In a significant development, reports indicate that the PCB has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to 12 centrally contracted cricketers. It is almost time for a busy franchise cricket season, and several Pakistani stars are in demand across the globe.

According to a PTI report quoted by the Times of India, the PCB has given the green light for 12 players to feature in a maximum of 3 overseas leagues. For the unversed, Pakistan stars are all set to feature in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), ILT20 and BBL, which start in December.

However, besides the 12 star cricketers, T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha is the only cricketer not issued an NOC by the board. It is worth noting that the relation between the board and Agha is all well, and the NOC was denied only because of a lack of interest in Salman Agha.

The 32-year-old hasn't built an image in T20Is for himself that the teams across the globe approach him for T20 stints.

Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen among 12 cricketers set for T20 action

Among those who have been granted NOC, Babar Azam is all set to make his BBL debut with Sydney Sixers, while Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi will extend their services in the premier Australian T20 league.

Further, it is worth noting that the BPL recently held an auction after 12 years, and 11 Pakistan players have been roped in to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Pakistan have a free window next month, but are most likely working on a T20I series with Australia in January, and if that works as planned, then the centrally contracted players might have to miss a few games towards the business end of the T20 leagues.
