On December 2, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the 15 young players who will represent Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. The tournament will be held in Dubai from December 12 to December 21.
Farhan Yousaf, who also played in last year’s Under-19 Asia Cup, has been chosen as the team captain. At just 18, Farhan has already shown impressive leadership skills.

Notably, Farhan recently captained Lahore Region Whites in the National Men’s U19 Cup, where he scored 369 runs in seven matches. His performance included one century and two half-centuries, making him one of the most reliable young batters in the country.
Usman Khan has been appointed vice-captain. Usman made headlines in the previous Under-19 Asia Cup by scoring a century. Playing for FATA in the recent National Men’s U19 Cup, he continued his strong form by scoring 429 runs in seven matches, including two centuries and a half-century.
With both Farhan and Usman in top form, Pakistan’s batting lineup looks strong going into the tournament. Wicketkeeping duties will be handled by Hamza Zahoor, who has been trusted to manage the crucial role behind the stumps.
Before leaving for Dubai, the team will join a training camp in Karachi. The exact travel date will be announced soon.
This year’s 50-over Under-19 Asia Cup will feature eight teams. Notably, Pakistan have been placed in Group A along with India, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3. Last year, Pakistan reached the semi-finals but were knocked out by Bangladesh, so the team will be looking to improve on that performance.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will begin their tournament on Friday, December 12, facing Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. Their second match will be on Sunday, December 14, against arch-rivals India at the ICC Academy Ground.
The final group match will be played on Tuesday, December 16, against Qualifier 1 at the same venue.
