After Smriti Mandhana’s father, fiancé Palash Muchhal also rushed to hospital; reason inside

The much-awaited wedding of India star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been put on hold due to an unexpected family emergency. The celebrations came to a standstill on Sunday when Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, suddenly complained of severe chest pain while preparations were going on at their farmhouse in Samdol, Sangli.

Meanwhile, a second medical issue added to the stress when Smriti’s fiancé, Palash Muchhal, also had to be taken to a private hospital, according to NDTV report. 

Viral infection lands Palash Muchhal in Hospital

Muchhal was suffering from a viral infection and acidity due to stress and exhaustion. Thankfully, his condition was not serious, and he was released soon after treatment.

Talking about father’s condition, an ambulance was immediately called, and he was rushed to a nearby private hospital. Doctors later confirmed that his symptoms were linked to the heart and needed close medical observation. 

According to Smriti’s family doctor, Mr Mandhana showed signs of angina, which means severe chest pain related to the heart. His test reports showed elevated cardiac enzymes and high blood pressure, so the medical team is keeping him under strict watch. 

If his condition does not improve, doctors may have to carry out an angiography. The family is constantly in touch with the medical team, and his condition is currently stable.

Because of her father’s health scare, Smriti decided not to continue with the wedding ceremony. She made it clear that she would not get married until her father fully recovers.

Decorations at the venue are now being removed, and the wedding date has been postponed indefinitely. The family has asked for privacy during this emotional time.

Notably, Smriti and Palash were expected to tie the knot on November 23 in Sangli, with many cricketers and close friends attending the grand week-long celebrations. Vibrant Haldi and Mehendi events, as well as friendly cricket matches between the bride and groom’s teams, had already taken place.
