India star cricketer Virat Kohli received a sweet and touching welcome when he arrived in Raipur for the second ODI against South Africa. As the Indian team reached their hotel on Monday evening, a group of young children stood waiting with roses in their hands, hoping to meet their cricket hero.

When Kohli stepped out of the team bus, the kids excitedly offered him the flowers. Kohli smiled warmly, thanked them, and gently accepted each rose before heading inside.
The children, clearly thrilled to meet him, couldn’t hide their excitement. Videos of the moment quickly spread across social media, melting the hearts of fans everywhere.
Kohli is already the center of attention in this ODI series, especially after his brilliant performance in Ranchi. On Sunday, he scored a magnificent 135 runs off just 120 balls, hitting 11 fours and seven sixes.

Notably, his powerful century helped India put up a strong total of 349 runs, giving the team a 1-0 lead in the series. With that knock, Kohli also continued to break records, he now has the most centuries by any player in a single format, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma also played his part, scoring a fast 57 and putting together a solid 136-run partnership with Kohli at the top of the order. Their combined effort was a big reason for India’s convincing win in the first match.
As for the upcoming game, India have scheduled an optional practice session for Tuesday afternoon. Since the team arrived early in Raipur after the first match, the players can decide whether to take part.
The second match of the India vs South Africa series will be played on December 3.
