Premier Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has unveiled the new jersey of the Rajasthan Royals franchise for their forthcoming IPL 2024 campaign.

In a minute-long video shared by the franchise itself across their social media platforms, Chahal revealed their new-playing jersey while mockingly interacting with teammates Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson.

Ace Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal starred in their jersey-reveal video on March 4, i.e., roughly a couple of weeks prior to the launch of their IPL 2024 campaign.

The franchise shared a minute-long footage of the 33-year-old, as he wandered around the streets and gym unveiling a mock jersey. 

Upon getting disapproved by his teammates Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler, the cricketer revealed Royals’ brand new match kit for the IPL 2024 season.

While the jersey pretty much retained Rajasthan Royals’ iconic pink and blue color, their latest kit was also sprinkled with several new shades alongside a visible change in sponsor.

Yuzvendra Chahal was retained in the Rajasthan Royals squad for the IPL 2024 season back in November during the player retention phase. Back in IPL 2023, the seasoned leg-spinner claimed 21 wickets for his team from just 14 innings at a splendid average of 20.57.

While he is yet to feature in any international match for Team India since August 2023, the 33-year-old might well jump back into selector’s reckoning for this year’s T20 World Cup 2024 with a profitable season for his IPL franchise.

As of now, the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals unit is lined up to face the Lucknow Super Giants in their opening match of the IPL 2024 season. The much-awaited contest will be staged at their home ground in Jaipur on March 24.
