Modern-day batting legend Virat Kohli stands tall as a beacon of excellence. His finesse with the bat is matched only by his unyielding resolve, making him a formidable force on the field for Team India as well as for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

A testament to his unparalleled dedication and skill, Kohli’s relentless pursuit of excellence sees him effortlessly scale new records and milestones in nearly every game.

Similarly, back in March 2022, the legendary Indian batsman added multiple new feathers to his illustrious career when he took field for his country against Sri Lanka at Mohali’s INS Bindra Stadium.

When Virat Kohli celebrated 100th Test with THIS record

On March 4, 2022 at the INR Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Virat Kohli took field for Team India for the first time since handing over his Test leadership reigns to longtime colleague Rohit Sharma.

Notably, the match also marked the 100th of his Test career, thus making him only the 12th Indian player to complete the landmark figure. Moreover, Virat Kohli also became the first and only Asian cricketer (to date) to feature in over 100 matches for his country across all three forms of the game.

The seasoned Indian veteran was facilitated by head coach Rahul Dravid prior to the first morning of the match in front of his wife Anushka Sharma and teammates.

Virat Kohli celebrated the feat by punching out a sizzling 45 on Day 1 of the Test match before he was cleaned up by visiting spinner Lasith Embuldeniya. During the course of his knock, Kohli also brought up the 8,000th run of his Test profile.

Team India won the Test match by an innings and 222 runs and went 1-0 up in their two-match series against Sri Lanka.
