Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan and franchise co-owner Preity Zinta were spotted grooving together on stage to the tunes of Indian singer Gippy Grewal.

Dhawan, Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma among several other players attended the Elante Mall in Chandigarh on March 16 evening to unveil Punjab Kings’ new jersey for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season. The event was also attended by Bollywood actress and owner Preity Zinta alongside a number of franchise officials.

Mere moments after Punjab Kings’ IPL 2024 jersey reveal, captain Shikhar Dhawan and co-owner Preity Zinta celebrated the occasion by dancing to the tunes of Indian singer Gippy Grewal.

The Punjab Kings shared a near 30-second video of their dance number alongside an ‘energetic’ caption that reads:

“𝙋𝙪𝙣𝙟𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙞 𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙖𝙖!” (Punjabis always have their batteries charged)

During the jersey launch event, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his excitement of leading the Punjab Kings once again in the upcoming season. Issuing an official statement, he said:

“I am happy to be back here. We have an exciting team this season that will give everything on the pitch as we look forward to don the vibrant new jersey and play at the new home ground infront of all of you.”

As per phase one of the IPL 2024 schedule unveiled by the BCCI, the Punjab Kings franchise will be commencing their campaign on March 23 with a match against Delhi Capitals. Here is a look at their entire 25-player squad for the much-awaited season:
