After the massive news from Delhi Capitals' camp of Rishabh Pant leading their side in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the player has posted a video of himself practicing hard.
The video posted by Pant captioned 'Progressing' shows him wicketkeeping and batting in the indoor nets as he looks extremely fit and agile in his movements.
On Tuesday afternoon, there were reports of Pant returning to action for his side, Capitals; however, in the capacity of a batter and captain, whereas some other player will pick up the wicketkeeping duties.
Rishabh was relieved of wicketkeeping, keeping in mind that he is returning from knee surgery, which could cause him some problems if he does not take proper care at this stage.
Also, he featured in his first warm-up game in Alur after the near-fatal incident and is said to be quite involved in practice sessions. Further, his ability to move and run has returned to normal, according to a source.
The left-hander will have a much more crucial role to play for the Delhi side, considering they were unable to perform well in the previous season under the leadership of David Warner.
However, this season, he was also seen on the auction table for his IPL team alongside Ricky Ponting, indicating his keenness to return to the field. The capitals themselves have expressed optimism about the explosive batter returning to competitive cricket in this edition of the cash-rich extravaganza.
