As the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League approaches, preparations are in full swing for all 10 teams, with players already honing their skills in practice sessions. 

The tournament opener will witness defending champions Chennai Super Kings square off against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22. 

RCB's wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik, gearing up for his final Indian Premier League season, is putting in rigorous work in the practice nets ahead of the tournament's commencement.  

In a viral video circulating on social media, Dinesh Karthik can be seen practising against RCB's newly recruited fast bowler, Yash Dayal, in the nets. 

In the video, Dinesh Karthik appeared unsettled while facing two deliveries from Yash Dayal. He left the first ball and played a poor shot on the second, where a RCB fielder dropped a sitter near long-on.

Notably, Dinesh Karthik struggled big time in the IPL 2023 for RCB, managing only 130 runs from the 13 matches he played, with an average of 11.67 and a strike rate of 134.62.  

As we gear up for IPL 2024, Dinesh Karthik is all set to flip the script, bounce back stronger from last season's rough patch, and leave his mark before calling it quits.
