Legendary ex-cricketer Rahul Dravid ended his coaching tenure on a high note, with India winning the T20 World Cup under his guidance.

Dravid is often referred to as one of the unluckiest cricketers during his playing days, having never won an ICC trophy. Although he achieved numerous individual accolades, the talismanic batter fell short of securing major team titles, particularly ICC trophies.

However, as soon as India won the T20 World Cup last night, Dravid was seen celebrating wildly with his team after the title win, a rare and exhilarating sight from the usually composed coach.

This uncharacteristic display of emotions from Dravid, who has maintained a calm demeanour throughout his career, was a beautiful moment to watch.

Dravid captained India in only one ICC trophy event, the 2007 ODI World Cup, where the team was knocked out in the group stage.

That World Cup was held in the West Indies, the same place where Dravid has now won the T20 World Cup as a coach.

Gautam Gambhir is expected to replace Rahul Dravid as the coach. With Virat Kohli retiring along with Rohit Sharma from the T20I format after the World Cup, India will undergo a transition. Gambhir is expected to rebuild Team India by introducing a new core.
