India's youngster, Shubman Gill, originally part of India's travelling reserves for the T20 World Cup 2024, was released from the squad mid-tournament without any official explanation. While rumours swirled about possible disciplinary issues, Gill's recent focus has been on intense preparation for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.

Instead of returning to India, Shubman Gill has been spotted unwinding in Los Angeles. He was recently seen at SoFi Stadium, enjoying the Copa America 2024 match between Brazil and Costa Rica.

This break, however, hasn't slowed him down. As he prepares for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe, where he will captain the Indian team in a five-match T20I series, Gill has been seen ramping up his training.

In a viral video, Gill is captured sprinting and training on the sidelines of what appears to be an American football field, showing that he's not taking his responsibilities lightly.

This preparation displayed his commitment to leading the team. The series, scheduled from July 6 to 14 in Harare, will be Gill's first assignment as captain. It marks India's fourth T20I series in Zimbabwe, following previous tours in 2010, 2015, and 2016.

With the spotlight on him, Gill seems ready to hit the ground running, determined to lead his team to success in this significant series.

As he steps into his new role, all eyes will be on how he maximizes this opportunity and brings his team together in Zimbabwe.
