Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is on the brink of breaking the record for the most dismissals in a single edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. Arshdeep has taken 15 wickets so far, at an economy rate of 7.50. 

This achievement places him fourth on the all-time list for most wickets in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.

Arshdeep Singh's Journey In T20 World Cup 2024

The current record is held by Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi, who has taken 17 wickets in the 2024 edition. He recently surpassed Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga's record of 16 wickets set in the 2021/2022 season. 

Ajantha Mendis of Sri Lanka, who also took 15 wickets in the 2012/2013 edition, is in third place. Arshdeep needs just three more wickets to claim the top spot from Farooqi.

Arshdeep Singh has been in great form in T20 World Cup 2024, and he will hope to continue with the same form in the final match against South Africa.
