After declaring at a record 603/6, India women put the visitors under immediate pressure with a tricky six-over stint before lunch, which South Africa tackled without loss, scoring 29 runs.

On the final ball of the 8th over, Rana's off-break pitched on a good length and stayed unexpectedly low, trapping Wolvaardt plumb in front of middle stump.

Caught off guard by the lack of bounce, Laura Wolvaardt attempted a pull shot from deep in the crease, only to be struck on the back leg. 

The umpire's finger went up, bringing an end to her innings at 20 runs off 36 balls, studded with three boundaries.

Meanwhile, at the time of writing, South Africa Women are 106/2, still trailing by a whopping 497 runs.

Despite their resistance, South Africa trails by a massive 527 runs. With the pitch offering turn and staying low, Indian spinners will look to exploit the conditions, while South African batters will aim to dig in and chip away at the deficit with patience and resolve.
