Ruturaj Gaikwad Charts Century In Buchi Babu
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a sensational century in Maharashtra’s Buchi Babu 2025 match against Himachal Pradesh. He scored 133 runs from just 144 balls with 10 boundaries and four huge sixes to throw his hat in the ring for a potential spot in India’s Test set-up. He even hit four sixes in a single over at one stage of the innings. While Gaikwad has played six ODIs and 23 T20I matches for the Indian team, he is yet to play a single Test match for the country.
Rohit Sharma, Rahul, Virat Kohli To Undergo Yo-Yo Tests: Report
Star Indian batters Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will reportedly undergo a Yo-Yo Test on August 30 and August 31 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. As reported by a RevSportz journalist, Virat Kohli is also scheduled to perform a test, however, his date is yet to be determined. The three cricketers are expected to make their respective international returns for Team India during their upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia ‘Down Under’. Captain Rohit Sharma will also face Australia A in One-Day matches beforehand in Kanpur.
Hanuma Vihari Signs With Tripura After Leaving Andhra
Forgotten Indian star Hanuma Vihari has signed with Tripura after leaving Andhra for the upcoming 2025-26 Indian domestic season. Vihari was recently handed a no-objection certificate (NOC) by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA). The cricketer had a public spat with the ACA back in 2024, prompting him to relocate his domestic base.
The 31-year-old last played for Team India back in July 2022. The star all-rounder was part of the Indian team that won the twin Test series in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21.
Jatinder Singh To Lead As Oman Name Asia Cup 2025 Squad
Oman Cricket has named a 17-player squad for the Oman team for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE. Jatinder Singh will lead the team, and the board also named four uncapped players in the form of Sufyan Yousaf, Nadeem Khan, Zikriya Islam and Faisal Shah. Experienced cricketers like Mohammed Nadeem and Karan Sonavale will also be accompanying captain Singh in the team as Oman aim to impress in their first ever appearance in an Asia Cup. Oman is included in Group A of the tournament alongside India, Pakistan and hosts UAE.
Will O’Rourke, Finn Allen, Phillips Battle Injury Woes
New Zealand fast bowler Will O’Rourke has been sidelined from competitive cricket for at least three months owing to a stress fracture on his lower back. Top-order batter Finn Allen is also set to be sidelined while star all-rounder Glenn Phillips will miss the T20I series against Australia. Mitchell Santner will also start as one of the doubtful contenders for the series.
