The second Test between Pakistan and England, which was supposed to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi, has been shifted to Multan. Notably, the National Stadium in Karachi is undergoing renovation, which won't likely be completed before the start of England's Pakistan tour.

Therefore, the penultimate Test of the series has been relocated, with Multan Cricket Stadium hosting the first two games of the series. However, the decider will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium as per the original schedule. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the development through an official statement on its website.

The PCB has initiated renovation work at the National Stadium in Karachi to ensure its revamp before the all-important Champions Trophy. The board has allocated a massive budget for this purpose, as it seeks to provide the spectators with the basic amenities and a magical experience during the marquee event.

As the renovation is still in progress, the National Stadium in Karachi can't host the second Test against the Englishmen. In such a scenario, the Multan Cricket Stadium emerged as the most suitable alternative, with the apex body relocating the game.

England's Tour Of Pakistan: What Do We Know So Far?

England's Pakistan tour comprises three Test matches from the 7th to the 28th of October. While Multan will host the first two Tests, the final will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium between 24 and 28 October.

After suffering two disastrous defeats against Bangladesh, Pakistan will aim to bounce back in this home series. Led by Shan Masood, the Men in Green could make significant changes to their squad, excluding some high-profile out-of-form players and bringing several fresh faces into their setup.
