The Border-Gavaskar Series is just around the corner and Team India is gearing up for the mega series with practice match against each other. The first Test will take place at the Optus Stadium, one of the fastest tracks in the world.
As per the curator of the Perth Stadium, the surface will have pace, seam, and bounce and will assist the bowlers. Hence, to prepare for the first Test, the Indian side are playing a simulation match at the old WACA stadium so as to get an idea about the conditions in Perth. During the net session, KL Rahul was hit on the elbow and was taken for scans. However, some good news came up when the test results came positive and KL Rahul was given the clean chit to participate in the first Test. India are also planning to play him as an opener for the first Test and are not taking any chances regarding his health.
Pant struggled Vs pacers
Pant struggled in both the innings and was also peppered with short-pitched bowling. It took him time to get used to the extra bounce in Perth, and by the time he got settled in, Mukesh Kumar dismissed him.
