Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jofra Archer was spotted having a bit of fun before the big IPL 2025 clash between CSK and RR. During a practice session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Archer mimicked Chennai Super Kings’ star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s unique bowling action.

And to everyone’s surprise, Archer did a great job copying Ravindra Jadeja’s style, even down to his quick movements between deliveries, which is something that makes Jadeja so tricky to face.
A video of Archer doing this was shared by the official RR social media page and quickly went viral. They captioned it humorously: “Jofra Archer. R̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ a̶r̶m̶ f̶a̶s̶t̶. Left-arm orthodox. 😂🔥” - joking about Archer switching from fast bowling to spin like Jadeja.
Archer, who returned to RR this season after being bought for ₹12.5 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction, has taken 11 wickets in 12 matches so far. His economy rate stands at 9.47.
Sadly for RR, this season hasn’t gone well. They’ve been knocked out of the playoff race. The team has won only 3 of their 13 matches and lost 10, placing them 9th on the points table with just 6 points. Regular captain Sanju Samson missed a few games due to injury, which added to the team’s struggles.
With only one game left, against CSK on Tuesday, May 20, RR will now be playing for pride, hoping to end their disappointing season with a win and avoid finishing last.
Meanwhile, three teams, Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings, have already qualified for the playoffs. The final spot is still up for grabs, with Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in the race.
