The Indian cricket team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, will depart for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE either on September 4 or September 5, as reported by News24. The tournament itself is scheduled to launch on September 9, while Team India will open their campaign the following day with a match against hosts UAE at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Adam Zampa Punished By ICC For Foul Language
Ace Australian spinner Adam Zampa has been punished by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for violating the ICC Code of Conduct during Australia’s first home ODI of the series against South Africa in Cairns. The cricketer was reprimanded for breaching Article 2.3, which relates to the “use of an audible obscenity during an international match”.
Zampa was handed one demerit point by the ICC, after he accepted the sanction by Andy Pycroft of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees.
Prenelan Subrayen Reported For Suspect Action On ODI Debut
South African spinner Prenelan Subrayen was reported for a suspect bowling action on his ODI debut itself during his team’s series-opening first match against hosts Australia in Cairns on August 19. While South Africa won the match by 98 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series, Prenelan Subrayen will now undergo an Independent Assessment of his bowling action at an ICC facility.
